To all makeup artists!:What is a reasonable rate for a bride’s makeup?

Hey,I’m a makeup artist but have never really done weddings.What is a reasonable rate to change a bride for a makeup application?
and also,what if a makeup artist stays for the after-party (rate per hour?)
also,how much to charge for other people involved in the wedding that want their makeup done too? EX: bridesmaid,mother…etc.

I was just a bridesmaid, and the makeup artist charged $35 per application (took 30-45 minutes or so). However, if you bought a product worth $35 or more, the session was free. Of course, we all tipped the makeup artist afterward. This was the rate for the bride as well as attendants and anyone else who wanted their makeup done.

If by the after-party, you mean something where you would stay to have refreshments, food, etc. I wouldn’t charge anything for that. It’s not like you have to stay for it, and you’re getting food and drink for free.
