If you’re dressing up, think of a theme. If it’s all princess and prince, dress up as a princess. Or a warrior.

If you don’t have money to buy expensive costume, what you do is buy your own fabric and go to a person who do custom dresses. I don’t know what you call them but here is Philippines we call them Sewers. This is actually a good idea since you can show him or her pictures or references what you want. You can also customize your costume.

Chinese people in ancient times don’t have make up on because they take pride on their clear and soft blemish free skin, except for those stage performers that requires makeup.
