Asia Aid eye makeup!?

Hello .. I have almond eyes (duh I'm in Asia) and I think it is really difficult to make eye makeup .. it only may be used without mascara is ridiculous. When I wear eyeliner or shadow, I look like a Gothic or I havent had the dream (not to mention makes my eyes more small) .. Is it a kind of eye makeup application techniques to us Asians?
