MAKEUP HELP?!? For the foundation and the color of the face.?

Okay, so I bought Clinique Foundation Arena 09 (n). I asked the lady at Sephora mee to see what was best for my face, and she said that. I did and I feel it looks great, not too loose. Then I take pictures and realize that took true color and thats because my face is a little darker then my cheeks. HELP? Should I use some type of sunscreen for the parts of the darker side than others? It could be the flash of my camera, but it seems too light. Do you suggest using blush? I never liked much blush for some reason. But anyway, I have something cheap to help my problem. Sephora Something, perhaps less than $ 20? So I really think that what I need, but I really do not know!
