How to make the makeup look natural?

I want to start wearing makeup, but I really want it to look natural? So far of eye shadow, mascara, lip gloss, etc … What should I do to achieve that natural look. Not to sound too obvious or as I have a lot or something.

Just want to use mascara and lip gloss, if you really want natural, you could use a little more coverage (if needed), mascara and lip gloss. Provided no cake on the cover should look natural again
