Can anyone recommend a good base?

I currently use Napoleon Perdis foundation stick. It gives full coverage. But I think I will exit. I use a lot, but lately I have, and I exploded. Can anyone suggest a good quality base is good for the skin, but also a good makeup? PS I live in Sydney, Australia.
