To remove dirt, excess sebum, sweat, and makeup, most women of color face should be cleaned twice a day. The tools you selected for washing is important. Think soft. First, choose a soft non-irritating cleanser. Avoid cleansers that contain abrasive granules for exfoliation. These particles hard not clean the pores and can aggravate and irritate the skin, causing redness, or worse, darkening of the skin or hyperpigmentation. If you have acne, cleaning with the granules can actually dramatically worsen an acne outbreak. Also, avoid hot flashes acne, Luffa sponges, or rough cloths. It can irritate the skin.

Many women of color in the error of brushing, cleaning the face too often or too soon. But most skin problems (acne, dark spots, pores covered) are not caused by dirt, so there is no need to use cleaning products or techniques raw hard. In addition, our pigmented skin requires regular care smooth to avoid skin irritation that can trigger problems such as discoloration or even keloid scars. Wipe gently with your fingers or a cloth soft cotton case.

Beyond this general advice directed at all women of color, I propose the following additional tips for women with different skin types. Remember, for many women of color, skin type tends to vary with the changing seasons. It is likely that most of you will change your cleansing ritual several times a year. Many use the tips for oily skin in summer hot and humid July and August and tips for dry skin in the dry months of winter in December and January. So remember, you may need to adjust your cleansing ritual and the products you use accordingly.

For oily skin. Wash your face two or three times a day to reduce excess oil. Avoid washing more than three times a day, because this practice can irritate the skin, promoting low inflammation degree of the skin and the subsequent development of dark spots. Wash the morning immediately after work or school, and again just before bed. When washing, gently massage the face with a warm cleaning solution for a year and a half to two minutes to remove excess oil and skin debris. Use antibacterial soap or gel or foam cleanser designed for oily skin (Cetaphil antibacterial soap, Avon Porefection cleanser, Cleansing Gel MD Forte Glycare months) during spring, summer and autumn to remove excess oil and softer oil glycerin soap or a balance of cleanser (Cetaphil for oily skin, Neutrogena Facial Cleansing Bar Soap Purpose, Basis All Clear Bar, pHisoderm Skin Cleansing Bar) in winter and spring. Moreover, since the oil on the forehead and temples can come from your hair, make some adjustments your hair care routine. Try washing your hair at least once a week and take the shot or back of the face. Do not apply ointments or oils on the scalp hair near forehead. They penetrate the skin and produce more oil and shine.
