I want to attend a special effects makeup school, somewhere in a general northern east coast area?

I was considering one of two options for the future: Become a theater major, or a special effects makeup artist. I’d prefer the ladder, but I’m not finding much in the way of schools. Any help would be wonderful. Thanks.

The makeup schools with the best reputation in the industry are the MUD (Make Up Designory) Schools. They cover most categories including special effects. There is a New York Campus.
