I need help with downloads on the sims 2!!!?

okay, so i have the sims 2 instaleed on my comp ( w/ university) and i only have internet on one comp so i get the downloads and put them on a disk and transfer them. When i put the downloads on my other comp (I save them in the sims2 university file in the downloads filethat i made…) the downloads all look like zipped files. so …… i unzip them and i delete the zipped file! so then i play the game (i mostly download skins and makeup) and it doesnt show up! the only thing that has shown up is eyeshaddow which the icon was the sims bodyshop! then! some of the downloads the icon looks like a word proccessing icon and it is NOT a readme file! even the other things DO NOT WORK!!! HELP ME!!!!!!!!

The sites i used was modthesims2.com peggysims2.com and just a little bit of
parsimonious.org

Make sure you put them in your downloads file. It is under my documents, ea games, sims two, then downloads. Just put all of your unzipped files in there and they should show up in your game.
