I am a makeup artist looking for a job, any sugguest?

I am a makeup artist with small jobs the absence of a spear under my belt. I did some weddings and dances, but I can not find stable employment. I asked Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom, but received no email responses those who say they have no jobs currently available. Does anyone other shops or salons can sugguest, or a better way to get my name out there for I can find a more independent? I in New Jersey. Thanks!

Have you tried against a Mac? Why not go into business for himself? You can make some nice cards and wedding shops, meet with others working weddings to promote your business (eg, photographs, etc.) and can do the same for them. Heck photographers, even would recommend to other customers who need makeup done for other things than marriage. Just put your name there. Customers will continue.
