How do I use a wheel of burning?

I loved creating effects of the composition of blood and gore range, years but I never learned to properly use the wheel on fire. I'm pretty hard on a wheel of bruising, nose and scar wax, etc, but this gap in my experience, if you want, it bothers me. I do not have a wheel of burning, but I'm not sure the proper application and color mixing. Any information you can provide would be much appreciated.
