Tribe of Africa, where traditional roles are reversed for both genders?

In my introductory sociology class, we learned about of an African tribe where the men applied makeup and talkative and women were more practical and more dominant. Does anyone know the name of this tribe? or study conducted? I would really appreciate it, because I intend to use for a source in a paper on gender and society. Thank you.
