Makeup Forever Palette question…?

I recently bought 3 MUFE eyeshadows at Sephora and got the palette for free. When I tried to transfer the individual shadows to the palette, they were a little snug and the palette is not magnetic. Is that normal? Am I supposed to force the eyeshadows in? It does fit but I have to push them down and that makes it hard for me to take them out.

I would call or go by the store to ask.
