End of Year vocabulary lessons provide a welcome break in routine. Students of all levels can benefit from diverse vocabulary practice.

Utilizing a wide range of games is important, but the key is the differentiation of vocabulary activities examined a range of skills. In reading fun, teacher-to test vocabulary game ideas from the list below to see what activities reinforce skills already taught at all levels and respect the interests of their students.

Creative and fun word games

Alphabetize – Students find words that begin with different letters of the alphabet.

Inventions – Students invent a new machine or an object with a particular vocabulary list.

Picture Dictation – The teacher describes a scene or object and the students draw what they hear.

Vocabulary quizzes

Students of all ages the divine love word games! You may have a points system to determine the winner or simply distribute individual awards.

"I Spy" – Students guess the words that begin with a letter.

Mimicry / rhyme / charades – Students guess the word mime, rhyme, etc

Hangman – teacher or student thinks of a word written on the blackboard scripts corresponding to the amount of letters of the word. Students calls and writing letters guessed correctly on the board. Add a "party" in man for any misspelled word. Students try to guess the word before the man is hanged. "

What is it Master? Places an image or an object that is not developed on the projector or the blackboard / whiteboard. Students have to guess what the image is.

Vocabulary games and Working

Group work is a fun way to practice vocabulary games. Before starting the activity, the teacher should always explain the rules of this game group to avoid discipline problems during reproduction.

Cooperative tell a Story – A group is a list of words or objects and is asked to do a story or a consistent, that includes all the words and phrases or images.

Priorities – The group is composed of a list of discrete elements and at least one criterion. They to order the items in relation to a set criteria.

For example: = meal of meat, tomatoes, rice, chocolate, bread, water. Criteria: order by the Foods that are essential to life, foods that are soft, or foods that are healthy.

Find the differences – in groups, students to find the differences between images almost identical. Note: This activity is most effective when played in a deadline.

With a little planning, you will see that the end of the vocabulary games year can be fun and enjoyable for students of all ages and levels, that wind slowly over the school year.
